Peter A. Gloor was Visiting Professor ("DFG-Mercator Gastprofessur") for the fall term 2005/06, teaching the course "Collaborative Innovation Networks - Optimizing Online Behavior".  He is also a Visiting Scholar at the Center for Coordination Science at MIT's Sloan School of Management. At MIT, Peter leads a project researching Collaborative Innovation Networks (http://www.ickn.org). He is also a Research Fellow at the Dartmouth Tuck Center for Digital Strategies and was an adjunct faculty at the Department of Computer Science at Dartmouth. He was a Post-Doc at the MIT Lab for Computer Science 1990-1993, and got his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Zurich in 1989. Peter has written 5 books and over thirty scholarly papers. His latest book "Swarm Creativity - Competitive Advantage through Collaborative Innovation Networks" will appear this fall at Oxford University Press (http://www.swarmcreativity.net). Peter has a unique combination of academic and industry experience. Until the end of 2002, Peter was a Partner with Deloitte Consulting, leading its E-Business practice for Europe. Before that, he was a Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers, and before that the Section Leader for Software Engineering at Union Bank of Switzerland. He has also been CEO of Internet start-up CyberMap Systems and is a frequent speaker at international business and academic conferences and seminars.
As a partner with Deloitte and PwC, and a senior manager at UBS Peter has led large Internet Strategy, Knowledge Management, and IT Systems integration projects for clients such as UBS, Zurich, Generali, Banca del Gottardo, Novartis, Roche, Norsk Hydro, TUI, DaimlerChrysler, Caterpillar, TRW, Lafarge, Aventis, Holcim, United Nations, and the Swiss Government.
